Your NSH is eligible to compete at any show that has classes for Partbred Arabs, Partbred American Breeds or Partbred Foreign Breeds.
In addition there are a number of "American" shows that he or she can take part in, once their Saddlebred parentage has been verified (see home page regarding registration).
Show held in 4th May 2008 at Moreton Morrell (Warwickshire). NSH speific classes, plus partbred Saddlebred classes. Click on link to left and look under "Championship Show" page for details.
A show with both "American" and "English" classes. Held on the first Sunday in August (3rd August 2008) at Pachesham Equestrian Centre, Leatherhead, Surrey. Click on link to left for details. Lots of classes for the NSH!
World Championship of Colour, held BH weekend in August (Addington Manor). Partbred Arab and Partbred Saddlebred classes. Click on link to the left to go to the British Skewbald & Piebald Association's homepage.
The ARAB NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW had classes specifically for the National Show Horse and the CHAPS UK CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW had Saddlebred classes. The ROYAL LONDON SHOW had classes for "American Breeds" - your NSH would have been eligible to compete in all of these.
The BMHS SPRING SHOW (24th May 2008 at Moreton Morrell) has Saddlebred & American breed classes.
BUCKS FIZZ SHOWS (27th April 2008 & 14th September at Highstead Riding Centre, Nr Canterbury, Kent). In hand & ridden classes for the Saddlebred if sufficient interest, plus foreign breeds in hand and ridden. Western, jumping and in hand showing classes for everyone.
Royal London Show (29th - 31st August at East of England Showground, Peterborough) has our "Saddlebred of Britain" classes - in hand and ridden, foreign breeds (in hand and ridden), saddle seat and western classes, plus 3 days of over 100 classes to choose from running from early in the morming till late at night. A show to close the season with!
